Antony + Rhiannon

St. Henry Catholic Church in Gresham, Oregon

When Antony and Rhiannon asked if I’d photograph their wedding, I was thrilled and honored. Traditional Catholic weddings are among my favorites to shoot. I grew up in a Catholic household and was the head altar server at my dad’s parish, so I know the sequence of the ceremony by heart. This meant a lot to Antony and Rhiannon because they knew I wouldn’t miss any of the important moments.

Antony is a friend from Portland State University; we were both math majors and spent more than one grueling 12-hour study session together. We stayed in touch after college, and I was beyond happy for him when he told me he had found Rhiannon. They met online and knew they were right for each other from the start.

The wedding took place on a crisp winter day just before Christmas. St. Henry Catholic Church was in full seasonal attire. Pine trees, wreaths, garlands, and candles adorned the chapel, and an abundance of poinsettias and roses were arranged at the foot of the church’s Our Lady of Guadalupe statue, adding warmth to the space.

Antony beamed with pride as he watched his bride walk down the aisle. A sense of peace and joy filled the room, washing over every guest. It was a small, intimate gathering of the couple’s closest friends and family, which made everything feel that much more special.

Antony and Rhiannon, I am so glad I got to be there for this one. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and grace.
